About Me

The Long Bio
Joseph Hinson is a marketing strategist, consultant, and president of Out:think, a boutique agency that helps nonfiction authors build platforms that grow their impact and career. With over 15 years of experience in digital strategy in the publishing industry, Joseph has partnered with some of the most influential thinkers of our time, including Charles Duhigg, Dan Pink, the Heath Brothers, Steven Pressfield, and Cal Newport.
His work is grounded in the belief that powerful ideas deserve powerful systems. Joseph specializes in helping authors move from scattered marketing efforts to cohesive, repeatable strategies that amplify their message. At Out:think, he leads the Author Marketing Playbook, a flagship coaching program for authors, and The Ultimate Author Platform, a self-paced course designed to help writers build a professional web presence.
Beyond consulting, Joseph has developed a suite of tools and products—ranging from email opt-in plugins to audience engagement software—that serve authors, thought leaders, and entrepreneurs. His broader mission is to equip authors with the knowledge, systems, and confidence they need to not only launch a book, but build a movement.
He is also the creator of Book Meets World, a podcast exploring the intersection of publishing, influence, and long-term platform building.
Joseph’s work has helped authors:
- Launch New York Times bestsellers
- Design book marketing strategies
- Grow engaged audiences from zero to thousands
- Create sustainable ecosystems for monetizing their expertise with info-products and speaking engagements
From 2018-2025, Joseph traveled the country via RV with his family, traveling to all 49 U.S. states on the continent while homeschooling his children. Today, he lives in Florida with his wife and three kids, continuing to blend creativity, strategy, and systems thinking to support the ideas that move the world forward.
